The transition to digital consignment notes (eCMR) offers greater efficiency, cost reduction, and enhanced compliance. However, with critical regulatory deadlines approaching, many in the industry still face uncertainty.

Starting from 1st January 2026, EU Member States can accept electronic freight transport information (eFTI), including eCMRs, instead of paper documentation. But only from 2027 is when the real shift begins: that’s when Member States must accept digital documents. Yet nowhere does the EU say it will be mandatory to go paperless. This leaves the logistics industry in a state of uncertainty—caught between ambition and ambiguity.

Join our webinar for an in-depth exploration of the key challenges and opportunities in adopting eCMR within the finished vehicle logistics industry.
