This independently developed index will be an instrument available to all players in the FVL industry. The index will be developed in collaboration with experts from renowned consulting firm PwC in Austria and will be presented on 2 March 2023 at 10 a.m. CET. It will show the cost development on a regional level based on a representative selection of markets and by logistics mode – rail, road, sea and compound.
We invite you to join us for our launch event to learn firsthand from the team at PwC Austria about how this FVL Cost Index has been developed. You will hear what measures were taken to make this a leading instrument to monitor specific costs in the FVL sector in Europe and how to use the index to check the changing costs mode by mode.
Wolfgang Göbel, ECG President said “For the first time in more than 40 years, we are facing unprecedently high and persistent inflation. Therefore, ECG and PwC Austria are working closely to provide an FVL Cost Index aiming to monitor cost developments and provide transparency.”
Agatha Kalandra, Partner & Executive Board Member of PwC Austria stated “A finished vehicle logistics cost index, compliant with antitrust laws, which is quality assured could facilitate the development of a standard for the wider logistics industry in Europe.”
