China aims to export 7 million new vehicles in 2025, to markets across the globe, up from the 5.8 million units exported in 2024. For us here in Europe, of specific interest is the volume that lands on our shores.

In 2024 a total of 752,243 units of passenger cars reached EU markets directly from China. This marked a marginal increase of 0.48% year on year, compared to 2023, but a significant jump from the 505,580 passenger cars that reached the EU direct from China in 2022.
