This month, mowiz TRUCK was awarded with the prestigious title of Wellbeing Ambassador, recognizing its exceptional commitment to enhancing the well-being of professional drivers. This recognition is part of the European Wellbeing Initiative -EWELIN which aims to foster a culture of health, safety, and quality of life within the trucking industry. EWELIN was launched this year by ESPORG – The European Secure Parking Organisation in Brussels with the support of the European Commission and leading industry partners.
The Heart of the Wellbeing Initiative
The European Wellbeing Initiative is designed to create a supportive environment for drivers, ensuring their health and safety are prioritized. Central to this initiative is the Wellbeing Pledge, which mowiz TRUCK proudly signed as one of the first organizations. By committing to this pledge, mowiz TRUCK has taken a leading role in promoting driver welfare and setting a strong example for others in the industry.
Active Collaboration in the Wellbeing Working Group
mowiz TRUCK is not only a signatory of the Wellbeing Pledge but also an active participant in the Wellbeing Working Group, collaborating closely with other wellbeing allies. This collaboration facilitates meaningful discussions and brainstorming sessions aimed at developing actionable strategies to improve the health and safety of drivers across Europe.
The partnership within the working group allows mowiz TRUCK to share insights, implement best practices, and address pressing issues related to driver well-being, reinforcing their commitment to making a positive impact in the community.
Leading the Way with the Wellbeing Campaign
mowiz TRUCK has taken the lead in the Wellbeing Campaign, hosting the inaugural Wellbeing Event themed “Drive Safe, Park Safe, Work Safe, Live Well” on 11-12 July in Astigarraga. This two-day event brought together industry stakeholders to discuss critical aspects of driver well-being. Participants engaged in panel discussions, interactive workshops, and activities focused on both physical and mental health. By facilitating this event, mowiz TRUCK demonstrated its dedication to creating a community around driver well-being and providing valuable resources that directly contribute to their quality of life.
On this occasion, MOWIZ TRUCK also inaugurated the vegetable garden at its GOLD certified secure truck parking in Astigarraga, which is also the winner of the first-ever Green Truck Parking Management Award (2025)—a true example of leadership in sustainable and secure truck parking.
