On March 8, we celebrate International Women’s Day by recognising the growing presence of women in the Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL) industry.
At events organised by the Association of European Vehicle Logistics (ECG), it is encouraging to see more women taking part and contributing their expertise to the sector. At the latest ECG Conference, one of the five delegates was a woman. Similarly, in the current ECG Academy Class 19, one of the four alumni is female.
ECG has established its own networking group, Women in FVL, dedicated to empowering women in the industry. The purpose of this network is to create a supportive and inclusive community where women can connect, collaborate, and build relationships with other women in the industry.
Neringa Jasiulioniene, Chairman and Director of FVL at Manvesta, proudly notes that women are represented across member companies from diverse regions of Europe and at every level within those organisations. “We see women in roles such as Operational Managers, Commercial Directors, Key Account Managers, as well as CEOs and COOs. Women are shaping the FVL industry at every level of responsibility. Representation is growing—but more importantly, the impact is already evident. That is something worth recognising and celebrating,” says Neringa Jasiulioniene.
