Updates to the ECG Survey Website – New Data and Features

ECG — 2025-02-07

News from ECG

The ECG Survey website has been updated with the January 2025 forecast data from S&P Global Mobility. The new dataset is now available in the usual country breakdown on the site.

In addition to the forecast update, several new data points and features have been added to enhance the site. The following updates are now available:

  • OEM factory data: Planned OEM factories are now displayed on the country maps.
  • Member company data: The transported cargo for each member company is now shown on their respective pages. This includes data on Cars & LCVs or High & Heavy cargo.
  • Asset counter: A dynamic asset counter has been added to the homepage, allowing us to track the evolving assets of all members and estimate the weight of the FVL sector represented by ECG.

Several new features have also been added to improve the user experience and make it easier to navigate and interact with the data. These include:

  • Aggregate Europe map: An interactive map has been created showing all OEM plants and automotive compounds in one place, providing a comprehensive overview of the sector. This data was previously only available on separate country maps across different pages.
  • Excel export: Search results for OEM factories and member compounds can now be exported to Excel for more efficient use and analysis.
  • Industry statistics downloads: Industry statistics are now downloadable for easier access.
  • Enhanced navigation: Navigation through the industry statistics pages has been improved for better user experience.
  • Improved links: A better connection has been established between the compounds listed on the member pages and those appearing on the country maps.

Our goal is to make the ECG Survey website as relevant as possible for all Finished Vehicle Logistics specialists, providing all the industry-specific data.

The site is available to ECG members free of charge, while OEMs and Partner companies can subscribe. More details and subscription information can be found on the ECG website. With specific questions or comments please reach out to Szilvi Kiss
