News from ECG
The driver shortage is a global problem that has been building for many years.
Transport operators face ever-increasing difficulties in driver recruitment and retention and the vehicle logistics sector is more badly affected than most. Since 2019, the International Road Transport Union (IRU) - of which ECG is a member - has held an annual Survey. This collects data from across the transport industry in order to understand the scale of the issue and support their lobbying efforts aimed at finding solutions. Indeed IRU will speak at the ECG Dinner Debate on 21 March in the European Parliament in Brussels on exactly this topic.
To support IRU ECG is asking our Members to complete the IRU Driver Shortage survey here by 15 March 2023. Your input is important and will help support the focus on this problem.
We would like to thank you in advance for your time and invite you join us for the ECG Dinner Debate on 21st March in the European Parliament to hear more.
