The European Commission has initiated a critical study focusing on the availability of suitable rest facilities for professional drivers and the development of secured parking areas throughout the European Union. This study aims to assess current conditions and identify areas requiring new or improved facilities to better serve the needs of truck drivers.
As part of this initiative, ECG encourages its members operating trucks to participate in this effort by replying to the survey.
The primary goal of this study is to map out existing safe and secure parking facilities and pinpoint locations where there is a demand for new ones. This effort is crucial to ensure drivers well-being and safety, the security of transport in Europe and to improve overall efficiency in logistics.
Transport operators are uniquely positioned to provide insights into the current state of rest and parking facilities. Your feedback will play a significant role in shaping the future of these facilities.
