We are happy to announce that Calibre Auto Logistics has joined the ranks of ECG members.
Formed in 1993, Calibre have grown into one of the UK's most successful independent Auto Logistics specialists with a large customer base in all fields of Automotive Logistics – from UK main dealers to specialist project covered car transport to short sea and deep-sea Ro-Ro and container services.
One of the positive reflections of the high service levels Calibre demonstrate, is the high number of customers who have supported us for over 20 years. We operate both covered and open car transporters and more recently we have started to invest in equipment to haul loaded/empty containers instead of relying of shipping line provided haulage. We also operate a car storage compound at our Dartford site.
Calibre have invested heavily in IT in the past 2 years, and now our clients enjoy the benefits of our bespoke innovative IT platforms for car surveys for collections and deliveries, plus driver-initiated photos of cars on collection and delivery, as well as our established client portal for any cars that are transporting so client can see the status of each car, and any relevant documents relating to that car.
We have plans to invest further into our covered car transportation fleet, as our business model has changed over the years to manage more high value prestige cars, and often that means Supercars with exceptionally low ground clearance. Our relationship as an approved transport company for several UK dealerships of prestige car brands has driven us in the direction.
