Scandinavian Auto Logistics has developed a new concept called “RoRo FlexTerminal” in cooperation with Port Esbjerg. The new concept allows for handling cars, trailers, containers transported on a Mafi vessel, and high and heavy cargo.

This new concept ensures the highest flexibility in planning and handling all kinds of vehicles, rolling cargo, and containers. Other advantages of this RoRo FlexTerminal concept are the staging area located directly at the ramps and the storage less than 100 meters from the quayside.

The majority owner of Scandinavian Auto Logistics is the Grimaldi Group. This multinational logistics group owns one of the world’s largest fleets of Ro-Ro, multipurpose, pure car and truck carriers, Ropax, cruise and ferry vessels.

The ability to handle all types of RoRo cargo with one of the largest fleets in the world provides us with the flexibility needed to reap all the benefits of the vast network of Grimaldi Lines “, states Henrik Otto Jensen, CEO and co-owner of Scandinavian Auto Logistics. He emphasizes, “We believe that flexibility and efficiency must be combined when moving complex cargoes around the world – and this starts when we receive the goods in Port Esbjerg.”

The CEO of Port Esbjerg, Dennis Jul Pedersen, emphasizes the benefits of this investment by explaining how it enhances the Port’s capacity and provides access to the Grimaldi Lines’ vast route network. He stresses the advantage of allowing for transport of modular goods from the hinterland to three continents – representing some of the fastest growing markets in the world.

The Grimaldi Group operates eight shipping lines on routes connecting Northern Europe, the Mediterranean, West Africa, North America, and South America.
