18/03/2025 17:45 - 23:00 CET European Parliament, Brussels, Belgium

In January, European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen launched the Strategic Dialogue on the Future of the Automotive Industry and announced the upcoming Action Plan, set to be unveiled on 5 March. As EU policymakers focus on shaping the future of Europe’s automotive competitiveness, a key question remains: Where does finished vehicle logistics stand?

ECG welcomes this initiative and is actively monitoring its progress. The European automotive industry plays a critical role for the 200+ member companies and partners represented in our association and operating trucks, ships and railway wagons to move millions of vehicles in Europe every year. However, the vehicle logistics sector faces significant challenges, navigating economic uncertainty alongside European car manufacturers, adapting to fluctuating volumes, and transitioning to greener operations while complying with an ever-growing list of EU regulations. Regulatory simplification, as highlighted in the 2024 Draghi report, is urgently needed.

Join us for a lively discussion with industry operators, policymakers and key stakeholders on the future of sustainable and competitive vehicle logistics in Europe.

Our event will be hosted by MEP Alexandr Vondra, a member of the ECR Group and the Committee on the Environment, Climate, and Food Safety in the European Parliament.

To access the European Parliament premises, you must provide your passport or ID details upon registration.
