This year, at our Spring Congress, on 23 May, we’ll be tackling two hot topics that are reshaping our industry:
- Geopolitical disruption: with expert insights from IFW Kiel
- Artificial intelligence (AI): with keynote speakers from efcom and the Fraunhofer Institute
We’ll kick off with a geopolitical deep dive, led by IFW Kiel, to understand how shifting global dynamics are impacting automotive logistics. Then, Justin Cox from LMC Automotive will take us through what it means for global production and market trends.
Next up, the spotlight turns to AI – a game-changer in logistics. From optimisation to innovation, we’ll hear how AI is already reshaping operations, thanks to our expert speakers Federico Avellán Borgmeyer and Anike Murrenhoff.
The Spring Congress takes place in the framework of the General Assembly, which will be held on 22 May. During the Assembly, members will receive updates, review reports, approve the budget, and elect the Board. We will close the day with an unforgettable Gala Dinner at LISBOA SUD, also marking the graduation of ECG Academy Course 18 kindly supported by

Traditional Portuguese restaurant with a cosy and warm atmosphere, founded in 1976, located by a nice garden in the centre of Cascais. It offers tasty local cuisine, with meat, fish, shellfish and several own and local specialities.

DISCOVER CASCAIS ON FOOT
A guided walking tour in the centre of Cascais, to discover its picturesque hidden corners, aristocratic palaces and intimate connection with the sea. Explore the curious rock formations by the sea in Boca do Inferno (Mouth of hell); the Marina; the Museum quarter; the beautiful park Marechal Carmona; the Citadel; the famous bay; the former fishermen’s quarter of narrow streets and nice recovered tiny houses; Camões square with its picturesque bars; the pedestrian street Rua Direita with the local shops.
The tour will finish with a glass of wine at one of the local pubs
