The vehicle logistics expert Hödlmayr is further expanding its international network. In order to provide customers on the Iberian peninsula with the best possible service, the Austrian family-owned company has established its own branch in the Catalan capital under the name Hödlmayr Iberia. The main aim of this subsidiary is to provide the best possible service for the rail transport of vehicles with block train systems.
“As a full-service mobility provider, our focus is on customer proximity. We already work closely with local partners in order processing and will continue to do so. I am very happy to be able to provide our customers with an additional, experienced industry expert in the form of Mr. Sylvain Reess as a direct local contact. This allows us to react flexibly and quickly to possible developments", explains Johannes Alexander Hödlmayr. The CEO of the Austrian company sees this step as a commitment to customers to ensure the best possible service quality.
Another key factor in the establishment of the new subsidiary in Spain was the increased demand from customers for the rail link operated by the company between Schwertberg (Austria) and Barcelona (Spain). Around 35,000 vehicles from European car manufacturers are already transported in both directions every year - and the trend is still rising. Hödlmayr: “This development is not least due to sustainability aspects. Both our customers and we have set ourselves ambitious goals in this area.”
