Members Corner
As stated in our Sustainability Report, we have very ambitious targets for reducing our CO2 emissions. One of them is to have CO2 free compounds by 2030. In this regard, photovoltaic systems make an important contribution to reaching your goal.
Besides putting the systems on existing roofs of our buildings, we also use the possibility of carports as carrier element. We are using the energy for ourselves as well as supplying a surplus to the grid.
Running systems in Schwertberg, Tongeren and Györ
Recently, we successfully put 187 kWp photovoltaic system in Györ in operation. This is a great addition to our existing systems in Tongeren with 4,5 MWp and 1,8 MWp in Schwertberg.
Constant development & new projects ahead
In Schwertberg, two further photovoltaic systems are in the pipeline:
The next step, will be a 1,5 MWp system on our existing carboards, starting operation in early 2024.
The second project is to create a 6 MWp photovoltaic system on new built carports together with external partners. With the new photovoltaic system, we can save around 1.800 t/year on CO2 emissions and supply 1.715 households. Start of construction is early 2024; the duration until operation lies about 12- 15 months.
Furthermore, we will evaluate new opportunities for photovoltaic systems in the subsidiaries of Jenec (Czech Republic), Logatec (Slovenia), Wiener Neustadt (Austria), Bascov (Romania), Kragujevac (Serbia) and Graz (Austria).
