News from ECG

In a bid to revolutionise the dissemination of crucial data in the European vehicle logistics sector, ECG proudly launched its new ECG Survey website in October 2023. It was meant to supplant the ECG Survey on European Vehicle Logistics book, the long-standing and industry-wide known publication of the association. Since its launch last year, the Survey website has garnered significant traction, attracting a diverse user base aiming to access the latest data and forecasts shaping the industry.

One of the key highlights of the website is the regular updates of data. Thanks to the invaluable co-operation with S&P Global Mobility, users can now access the  twice per year updated production, sales, import and export forecast data for a wide array of countries at the brand level. The January forecast update is already available. Moreover, January also saw the website receiving an update of the automotive industry statistical data. These regular updates ensure that users are equipped with the most comprehensive and up-to-date information available.

A notable enhancement to the website is its dynamic member profiles. These are now automatically updated whenever changes occur, ensuring that the platform provides the most realistic and current snapshot of the Finished Vehicle Logistics (FVL) sector. Additionally, new members joining ECG have their profiles fast and seamlessly integrated into the platform, further enriching its database.

ECG members are granted complimentary access to this invaluable resource, while ECG partners, OEMs and non-member companies can subscribe to reach the website’s wealth of insights. For further details on accessing the Survey website and subscription options, interested parties are encouraged to visit the dedicated webpage.

ECG will not publish the Survey book any more and will instead put more efforts in the development of the Survey website in the future. This underscores the site’s evolution into a more dynamic tool for FVL industry professionals. If you used the ECG Survey book in the past, you might want to check out the new website from now on!
