On Tuesday the 6th of December 2022 Roschmann Group and WWL prolonged their contract for shipping facades consisting of steel constructions and glass to the US East- and West Coast. Kay Ewaldsen and Didier Verhoeven signed the contract during a small celebration at the Roschmann Group Headoffices in Gersthofen near Augsburg, Germany.

Kay Ewaldsen: “we decided to go for breakbulk shipment with RoRo vessels once it was clear that there was a structural shortage of containers on the market. Thanks to the support of Frits Mehrtens we were able to realize this large change.”

“The Roschmann Logistics Department has changed from a ‘booking office’ utilizing 3rd party forwarding companies into a professional in house forwarding company headed by Jana Niscakova who joined Roschmann since May 2022” according to Frits Mehrtens. “For a project oriented company it is essential to have logistics as close as possible to the organisation in order to keep control of leadtimes and on time availability of the consignments at the various construction sites”.

Didier Verhoeven: “the last months have not been easy for us but thanks to the perfect daily cooperation of Account Manager Xavier Serneels with Jana Niscakova we have shipped almost 10.000 m3 breakbulk through the Port of Zeebrugge to New York, Baltimore, Port Hueneme and Tacoma. 10.000 m3 really is an important account for us and we are very happy that the cooperation will continue."
